LIVE WEBINAR: OCTOBER 29, 2026 | 1:00-2:00pm ET

This course contains the live webinar link (sent via Zoom), recorded webinar, slide handout, pre- and post- knowledge check questions, and continuing education credit (CME and CMLE).

This interactive live webinar is part 25 of the Emerging and Evolving Biomarkers Series.

Description:

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is emerging as a powerful biomarker for detecting minimal residual disease (MRD) for patients with solid tumors. This webinar will review the principles, technologies, and clinical applications of ctDNA-based MRD detection, with a focus on the opportunities and challenges of identifying molecular evidence of residual disease before it becomes clinically apparent.

Topics will include tumor-informed and tumor-naïve approaches to ctDNA detection, strategies for improving analytical sensitivity and specificity, and the impact of biological and technical factors on assay performance. The webinar will also discuss emerging clinical applications of ctDNA-guided risk stratification, surveillance, and treatment selection across solid tumors, as well as ongoing challenges in translating ctDNA MRD testing into routine clinical practice.

Learning Objectives:
  • Describe the biological principles underlying ctDNA release and detection and their implications for MRD testing in solid tumors.
  • Compare tumor-informed and tumor-naïve approaches to ctDNA-based MRD detection, including key differences in assay design and analytical performance.
  • Identify biological and technical factors that influence the sensitivity, specificity, and interpretation of ctDNA-based MRD assays.
  • Discuss the emerging clinical applications and challenges of ctDNA-based MRD testing, including risk stratification, surveillance, and treatment selection.
