Description

This session will examine alternative workflows for ordering biomarker and NGS tumor testing in colorectal and other gastrointestinal cancers, including pathology-driven, oncology-driven, in-house, and send-out models. It will also evaluate how these approaches affect testing efficiency, turnaround time, access to actionable results, and patient care, while identifying key evidence gaps linking testing workflows to clinical outcomes.

Learning Objectives
  • Examine alternative test order workflows of biomarker and NGS tumor testing in colorectal and other gastrointestinal cancers.
  • Evaluate the impact of in house vs. send out NGS tumor testing.
  • Identify gaps in the evaluation of testing workflows and impact on patient outcomes.
