Molecular International Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS-M) in Routine Diagnostics

This course contains the webinar recording, PDF handout, pre- and post-test, and CME, CMLE and Certificate of attendance.

This interactive live webinar is part 19 of the Emerging and Evolving Biomarkers Series

Description:

This webinar provides an understanding of risk stratification for myelodysplastic neoplasms (MDS) and explains the latest prognostic model: IPSS-M (Molecular International Prognostic Scoring System). The presentation summarizes the input variables and demonstrates the calculation of the IPSS-M. The daily challenges (e.g., missing values, unclear genetic results) will be discussed. Finally, a number of clinical validation studies will be reviewed.

Learning Objectives:
  • Explain the impact of molecular genetic variables on MDS risk scoring.
  • Apply the IPSS-M tool.
  • Examine the impact of missing values.
  • Evaluate independent validation studies.
